15 most ‘good-looking’ smartphones of 2021
Smartphone brands keep experimenting with the design of their smartphone to give them a fresh feel. Some try with an entirely different form factor like Galaxy Z Flip 3, while some try to improve upon the already tried and tested design like Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max. Then there are brands that try to add something different to the design like ROG Phone 5’s rear backlit logo or Xiaomi M11 Ultra’s display at the back. Listed here are some smartphones that are good looking by design.
Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max
Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max carries the same design language as the iPhone 12 Pro Max. However, minor changes like bigger camera housing, smaller notch makes it a fresh appeal. In terms of features, the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max comes with Apple A15 Bionic chipset, features 120Hz display and a LiDAR sensor for better low light photography.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is perhaps the most good looking foldable smartphone in the market. It features an all-new design language with a bigger external display and a symmetrical design. Also, the dual-tone paint job adds to the premium look and feel of the smartphone. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.
OnePlus 9 Pro
OnePlus’s new design language for its rear camera module gives the entire OnePlus 9 series a distinctive look. The OnePlus 9 Pro comes in three colour options — Morning Mist, Pine Green and Stellar Black. All the colour looks premium and has a minimalistic feel to it. The OnePlus 9 Pro features Hasselblad backed camera and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.
Asus ROG Phone 5
Asus ROG Phone 5 is a gaming smartphone that also carries a premium design that matches its gaming nature. The phone features a dedicated LED-backlit ROG logo at the back. The Ultimate edition also comes with a customisable LED display. The ROG Phone 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888SoC.
Samsung Galaxy S21
Just like the iPhone 13 Mini, the Galaxy S21 is one of the most compact Android smartphones. But, the real deal is its new design with unibody like camera housing, matte-finish panel and contrasting camera housing. The phone is also relatively slim and comfortable to hold. No doubt that the Galaxy S21 deserves to be on this list.
Apple iPhone 13 mini
Apple iPhone 13 mini can be simply described as the ‘Flagship in a compact form factor’. The smaller form factor is the key highlight of the phone and that’s why it carries the ‘mini’ moniker. It also offers essentially the same design and performance as the other phones in the series. The phone also comes in five different colour options including Product (Red).
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the company’s most premium smartphone. It’s a clamshell foldable smartphone that not only looks premium but it also gives us a hint at the future of foldable phones. The Z Fold 3 features a simple yet functional design improving upon the previous-generation Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Fold.
Vivo X70 Pro+
Vivo X70 Pro+ is also among the most sleek-looking smartphones. It features a curved display at the front and a matte-finish also a curved panel at the back. It’s light, slim and feels premium in hand. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Mi 11 Ultra
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is the company’s flagship smartphone and it is built like one too. The smartphone features a curved display at the front and a curved back panel. The key element though is its horizontally placed rear camera housing that is also home to another small display that shows essential information such as time, notifications and can also act as a viewfinder.
Oppo Find N
Oppo Find N is Oppo’s take on the whole clamshell foldable smartphone concept. It is worth noting that the phone has only launched in China and the company hasn’t actually revealed when it is going to make it to the other regions, but that does not make it any less of a good-looking phone. The Oppo Find N, by the picture, looks premium. It also addresses some common issues with the foldable design. It has a wider and more natural sized display at the top and it also opens up to transform into a landscape tablet instead of a beefed-up smartphone.
Oppo Find X3 Pro
Oppo Find X4 Pro’s unibody single-sheet design which claims to be inspired by spacecraft feels premium and the merged camera housing in the back panel also adds to its premiumness. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
iQoo 7 Legend
The iQoo 7 Legend is pitched as a gaming smartphone, a good looking one. The smartphone features a symmetrical design language with a proportional camera housing and a matte finish back panel. The back panel also has a tri-colour stripe that adds to the appeal.
Realme GT is a mid-range premium smartphone and it also has a good looking design with multiple colour options. The phone also carries the Dare to Leap stipe at the back which makes it look good and different from the regular smartphone design.
OnePlus Nord 2 Pac Man edition
The Pac Man edition of Nord 2 carries the same design as the regular Nord 2 which also resembles the newly adopted design language by the company. However, the back panel of the phone does have a neat trick that glows in the dark with Pac-Man styled mazes. It looks cool and also brings something different to the table.
Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G
Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G has a regular smartphone design. But the key here is its fit and finish and the quality of the material used. The phone feels premium from the front, but the matte-finished slightly textured back panel gives it an upmarket feel.
